I have seen very nice Monohulls go down to the bottom, one would ask why? Because they attach lead to the bottom. The boats that are FIRST TO FINISH usually have two hulls. I have not heard of any well built cat sinking to the bottom of the sea. What does this tell me? When I build my oceangoing yacht, it will float under any circumstances. It will not sink before my crew can abandon ship. It will be seaworthy no matter what a designer ,builder or sailor promises.
